As the year draws to a close, the INSERM  U1070 team is the winner of three new projects:

  • Alexia CHAUZY has been awarded a 4-year ANR JCJC (young researcher) grant, entitled CAPOIERA « Cerebral Antibiotic PBPK/PD Optimization and Evaluation of Innovative Regimens against Antibioresistance in ICU patients with cerebral infections », with the aim of optimizing antibiotic regimens in ICU patients with cerebral infections. This ANR is therefore based on the PK-POP LCR PHRC and will combine exploratory in vitro Hollow fiber approaches with PKPD and PBPK modeling approaches.
  • Julien BUYCK is also a partner in an ANR project led by a colleague from Le Mans (Gwenaël Corbel) entitled FICUS: « Fight nosocomial infection with Cu-based Salts », the aim of which is to evaluate the in vitro antimicrobial activity of pat TKC copper particles on planktonic strains and biofilms of enterobacteria, pseudomonas, staphylococci and streptococci.
  • A Region NA project won this year by Kevin BRUNET entitled DACOSID: « Development and evaluation of a new class of class of antifungals coupled with siderophores to combat antifungal resistance ». The aim of this project is to link azole antifungals to fungal siderophores in order to generate new antifungal drugs and evaluate their efficacy, as well as the emergence of resistance to susceptible Candida and Aspergillus strains resistant strains of Candida and Aspergillus.
