Short CV:

Dr. Alexia Chauzy (born 06.08.1989, France) is Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Poitiers, School of Medicine and Pharmacy. She studied Pharmacy at the University of Poitiers and joined the unit UMR 1070 « Pharmacology of Antimicrobial Agents » in 2014 in order to perform her PhD, during which she investigated in vitro and in vivo pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) of aztreonam-avibactam, in the context of an IMI project (Combacte-Care).

She is mostly interested in population PK, PK-PD and PBPK modeling of antibiotics. She is also familiar with in vivo (microdialysis) and in vitro (time-kill curves, checkerboard) experiments to characterize the tissue distribution and efficacy of antibiotics alone or in combination. She recently developed an in-house hollow fiber infection model to study the in vitro efficacy of antibiotics by mimicking their pharmacokinetics in a patient.

She is currently co-director of 2 PhD students.
