Short CV:

Olivier MIMOZ is Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Université de Poitiers, Faculté de Médecine et Pharmacie, and Head of the Emergency Department – SAMU 86 and Centre 15 at Poitiers University Hospital. He is medical coordinator for emergency medicine within the Vienne regional hospital grouping. He is also deputy director of the Inserm Unit U-1070 ‘Pharmacology of anti-infectious agents’ in Poitiers.

After starting his career at the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris, Professor MIMOZ moved to Poitiers in 2000, where he took charge of the surgical intensive care unit. In 2015, he was appointed head of the Adult Emergency Department – SAMU 86 and Centre 15 – and set up a unique team of emergency physicians within the Groupement Hospitalier de Territoire de la Vienne, which comprises four general hospitals (Poitiers, Châtellerault, Montmorillon & Loudun), for which he took on medical responsibility.

His research interests focus mainly on the prevention and treatment of healthcare-associated infections. Professor MIMOZ has published nearly 200 scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals and several book chapters. He has participated in the drafting of numerous national recommendations on the prevention of healthcare-associated infections, is a regular speaker at medical conferences and is an expert for several pharmaceutical companies.
