Short CV:

Chloé holds a PhD in Virology (2016-2019) after studying Cell Biology at Limoges University. She specialized in development of models for pre-clinical studies. During her PhD, she improved ex vivo and mice models for drug evaluation against cytomegalovirus infection. In 2020, She joined the Department of Clinical Microbiology, Umeå University, Sweden where she implemented a microfluidic cell model to study mechanisms of endothelial cell degradation during Puumala virus infection.

Since 2024, she joined the UMR Inserm 1070 Lab and the team of Dr Julien Buyck, to develop an intracellular infection model to evaluate antibiotics efficacy against Mycobacterium abscessus infection.

Research skills:

Cell Biology:  cellular culture of mammalian cells (primary cells and cell lines) in static and microfluidic conditions, ex vivo culture of tissues (placental villi), confocal microscopy, immunocytochemistry and immunofluorescence staining, cytotoxicity testing of molecules.

Molecular biology: DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR multiplex.

Biophysics: Quarts Cristal Microbalance with Dissipation monitoring (QCM-D) technique to study protein/GAG-protein interaction, impedance measurements for cell barrier integrity evaluation.

Animal testing: improvement of graft protocol on SCID mice.

Microbiology: evaluation of antiviral drugs and antibiotics, growth curves (virus and bacteria), viral load determination by qPCR and microcopy, bacteria counting.
