Milena Mattes Cerveira (born 17,06,1994, Brazil) is a Postdoctoral hired to work in the FiCuS project in the the unit UMR 1070 “Pharmacology of Antimicrobial Agents”, She has a PhD and a Master (MsC) in Biochemistry, and a Chemistry degree (BSc) from the Federal University of Pelotas. She has research experience in cell culture, microbiology, nanoparticle characterization, and biochemical assays.

Her academic journey includes a split-site PhD program at the IC2MP in France (Université de Poitiers) and a one-year undergraduate exchange in the USA (SUNY Plattsburgh), both of them fully funded and awarded by the Brazilian Government. She has published peer-reviewed articles and supervised undergraduate students.

She also has teaching experience, having taught practical and theoretical molecular biology and biochemistry classes, Milena has received awards for academic excellence and scientific presentations.
